The ship represents the doctrine of the disciples, or the ideas they had accepted about Jesus – and on another level represents our own doctrinal systems. When that doctrinal system is inspired by the Lord's divine goodness (represented by Jesus entering the ship), it is elevated to a higher spiritual state, one that is no longer in conflict with the Lord's power (the wind).
