Lapho uJesu esakhuluma ngomfanekiso, owesifazane ongumSamariya uyaqhubeka emuzwa ngokoqobo. Uthi, “Anginandoda” (4:17). Ukukhonza kweqiniso

Khona-ke, owesifazane ongumSamariya umelela wonke umuntu ozimisele ukufunda nozimisele ukwamukela iqiniso elinikezwa uJesu. Njengoba siqhubeka nomqondo ongokoqobo wendaba, lokhu kumelela kuba sobala nakakhulu. Sesibonile ukuthi lona wesifazane wayezimisele ukuthola iqiniso ngaye, ngaphandle kokucasuka. Manje usefuna ukwazi iqiniso ngokukhulekela. Sekuyisikhathi eside eqaphela ukungqubuzana kokuthi ikuphi indawo efanelekayo yokukhulekela—kungaba kuseJerusalema ethempelini, noma eSamariya eNtabeni iGerizimu. Ngakho uthi: “Okhokho bethu babekhonza kule ntaba, kodwa nina maJuda nithi iJerusalema yindawo lapho kufanele kukhulekelwe khona.”4:21).

Ephendula, uJesu uthi, “Ihora liyeza lapho ningayikukhuleka kuBaba kule ntaba noma eJerusalema. Nina nikhonza eningakwaziyo; thina siyakwazi esimkhonzayo, ngokuba insindiso ivela kumaJuda.”4:22).

Lapho iqondwa ngokomoya, inkulumo ethi “insindiso iphuma kumaJuda” ayibhekiseli eqenjini labantu kodwa kunalokho ibhekise emqondweni owumgogodla wemfundiso yamaJuda. 30. Basebephuma emzini, beza kuye.

31 Kusenjalo abafundi bamncenga besithi: Rabi*, yidla.

32 Kodwa wathi kubo: Mina ngilokudla engikudlayo lina elingakwaziyo.

34. UJesu wathi kubo: Ukudla kwami kungukuba ngenze intando yongithumileyo, ngiqede umsebenzi wakhe.

Lapho uJesu esakhuluma nowesifazane ongumSamariya, abafundi bebesemzini waseSikhari bethenga ukudla. Lapho bebuya, bayamangala lapho bethola ukuthi uJesu ubenengxoxo engokwenkolo nowesifazane. Nokho, kulotshiwe ukuthi akakho kubo owambuza ukuthi: “Ufunani na?” noma “Kungani ukhuluma naye?” (4:27).

Kuleli qophelo endabeni, owesifazane ongumSamariya ushiya imbiza yakhe yamanzi aphuthume edolobheni ayotshela abanye ngokuhlangana kwakhe noJesu. Lapho efika edolobheni, uthi: “Wozani nibone uMuntu ongitshele konke engake ngazenza.”4:29). Njengoba lona wesifazane esedolobheni efakaza ngokuhlangana kwakhe noJesu, abafundi basala noJesu futhi bamnxusa ukuba adle okunye ukudla abakuthengile. UJesu uyaphendula: “Nginokudla engikudlayo eningakwaziyo nina” (4:32). Bamthatha njengezwi, abafundi baphendukela bodwa, bathi: "Ukhona yini omlethele ukudla na?" (4:33). Njengoba nje ukudla okungokwenyama neziphuzo kondla imizimba yethu yenyama, ukudla kokomoya, okuhle kwesisa, nesiphuzo sikamoya, okuyiqiniso lokholo, kokubili kubalulekile ekusekeleni ukuphila kwethu komoya. Njengoba nje umzimba ungeke uphile emanzini wodwa, ukuphila kwethu okungokomoya akunakusekelwa ngeqiniso lodwa. Iqiniso esilifundayo kumele lihlanganiswe nempilo yokupha. 4

Ukuhlwanyela nokuvuna
