These are the journeys of the sons of Israel, who went out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the charge of Moses and Aaron.

And Moses wrote down the starting-points of their journeys, at the word of Yehowah; and these are their journeys from each of their starting-points.

Thus, they set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the sons of Israel went out high-handedly in the sight of all the Egyptians,

while the Egyptians were burying those whom Yehowah had killed among them, all the firstborn; Yehowah executed judgments on their gods also.

And the sons of Israel set out from Rameses, and camped at Succoth.
6
And they set out from Succoth, and camped at Etham, which is at the edge of the desert.
7
And they set out from Etham, and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon; and they camped before Migdol.
8
And they set out from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea to the desert, and went three days' journey in the desert of Etham, and camped at Marah.

And they set out from Marah, and came to Elim; and at Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.

And they set out from Elim, and camped by the Sea of Reeds.

And they set out from the Sea of Reeds, and camped in the desert of Sin.

And they set out from the desert of Sin, and camped at Dophqah.

And they set out from Dophqah, and camped at Alush.

And they set out from Alush, and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

And they set out from Rephidim, and camped in the desert of Sinai.

And they set out from the desert of Sinai, and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

And they set out from Kibroth-hattaavah, and camped at Hazeroth.

And they set out from Hazeroth, and camped at Rithmah.

And they set out from Rithmah, and camped at Rimmon-perez.

And they set out from Rimmon-perez, and camped at Libnah.

And they set out from Libnah, and camped at Rissah.

And they set out from Rissah, and camped at Qehelathah.

And they set out from Qehelathah, and camped at Mount Shepher.

And they set out from Mount Shepher, and camped at Haradah.

And they set out from Haradah, and camped at Makheloth.

And they set out from Makheloth, and camped at Tahath.

And they set out from Tahath, and camped at Terah.

And they set out from Terah, and camped at Mithqah.

And they set out from Mithqah, and camped at Hashmonah.

And they set out from Hashmonah, and camped at Moseroth.

And they set out from Moseroth, and camped at Bene-jaaqan.

And they set out from Bene-jaaqan, and camped at Hor-haggidgad.

And they set out from Hor-haggidgad, and camped at Jotbathah.

And they set out from Jotbathah, and camped at Abronah.
35
And they set out from Abronah, and camped at Ezion-geber.

And they set out from Ezion-geber, and camped in the desert of Zin; this is Kadesh.

And they set out from Kadesh, and camped at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom.
38
And Aaron the priest climbed Mount Hor at the word of Yehowah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the sons of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40
And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the sons of Israel.

And they set out from Mount Hor, and camped at Zalmonah.
42
And they set out from Zalmonah, and camped at Punon.
43
And they set out from Punon, and camped at Oboth.
44
And they set out from Oboth, and camped at Iye-abarim in the territory of Moab.
45
And they set out from Iyim, and camped at Dibon-gad.
46
And they set out from Dibon-gad, and camped at Almon-diblathaim.
47
And they set out from Almon-diblathaim, and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48
And they set out from the mountains of Abarim, and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.
49
And they camped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.
50
Then Yehowah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho, and he said,
51
Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into die land of Canaan,
52
you shall drive out before you all the inhabitants of the land, and destroy all their images; and you shall destroy all their images of cast metal, and lay waste all their hill-shrines;
53
and you shall possess the land, and live in it, for I have given the land to you to possess.
54
And you shall divide the land by lot for inheritance according to your families; for the larger family you shall make a larger inheritance, and for the smaller you shall make a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
55
But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, then those whom you let remain will be like prickles in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you live.
