1
Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said,
2
On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
3
And you shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and screen the ark with the veil.
4
And you shall bring in the table, and arrange it in order; and you shall bring in the lampstand, and light its lamps.
5
And you shall put the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Testimony, and you shall set up the screen for the door of the tabernacle.
6
Then you shall put the altar of burnt-offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting,
7
and put the layer between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
8
And you shall set up the surrounding court, and put up the screen for the gate of the court.
9
Then you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; and you shall sanctify it and all its furnishings, and it shall be holy.
10
And you shall anoint the altar of burnt-offering and all its utensils; and you shall sanctify the altar; and the altar shall be most holy.
11
And you shall anoint the layer and its base, and sanctify it.
12
Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting, and wash them with water.
13
And you shall clothe Aaron with the sacred robes; and you shall anoint him and sanctify him, so that he may be a priest to me.
14
Then you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with tunics;
15
and you shall anoint them as you anointed their father, so that they may minister as priests to me; and their anointing shall surely make them an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
16
And Moses did so; he did exactly as Yehowah commanded him.
17
So the tabernacle was set up in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month.
18
And Moses set up the tabernacle and put in its bases, and set up its supports, and put in ins bars, and set up its pillars.
19
And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent over the top of it, as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
20
Then he took the Testimony and put it into the ark, and put the poles on the ark; and he put the mercy-seat on top of the ark;
21
and he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the Testimony; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
22
Then he put the table in the tent of meeting on the side of the tabernacle towards the north, outside the veil;
23
and he arranged the bread in order upon it before Yehowah; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
24
Then he put the lampstand in the tent of meeting, close by the table, on the side of the tabernacle towards the south,
25
and lit the lamps before Yehowah; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
26
Then he put the altar of gold in the tent of meeting before the veil,
27
and burnt incense of spices on it; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
28
Then he set up the screen for the door of the tabernacle.
29
And he put the altar of burnt-offering at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and presented on it the burnt-offering and the grain-offering; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
30
Then he put the layer between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it, for washing,
31
and there Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet;
32
when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed; as Yehowah had commanded Moses.
33
Then he set up the court surrounding the tabernacle and the altar, and put up the screen for the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
34
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Yehowah filled the tabernacle.
35
And Moses could not enter the tent of meeting, because the cloud settled down upon it, and the glory of Yehowah filled the tabernacle.
36
Throughout all their journeys, when the cloud was lifted from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel went forward;
37
but if the cloud was not lifted, they would not set out until it was lifted.
38
For throughout all their journeys the cloud of Yehowah was upon the tabernacle by day, and there was fire on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.
