Leviticus 2

Study

And when any person brings a gift of a grain-offering to Yehowah, his gift shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense upon it.

And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests; and he shall take from it a handful of the fine flour and oil, with all the frankincense. And the priest shall burn this token of it on the altar, as a fire-offering, an odour of rest to Yehowah.

But that which remains of the grain-offering shall be for Aaron and his sons, the most holy of the fire-offerings to Yehowah.

And when you bring a gift of a grain-offering baked in the oven, it shall be some unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers smeared with oil.

But if your gift is a grain-offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour mixed with oil.

You shall break it in pieces, and pour oil upon it; it is a grain-offering.

But if your gift is a grain-offering cooked in a pot, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

And you shall bring to Yehowah the grain-offering that is made of these things; and when it is presented to the priest he shall take it up to the altar.

And the priest shall take from the grain-offering a token of it, and burn it on the altar; it is a fire-offering, an odour of rest to Yehowah.

And that which remains of the grain-offering shall be for Aaron and his sons, the most holy of the fire-offerings to Yehowah.

No grain-offering which you present to Yehowah shall be made with leaven; for you shall burn no fire-offering to Yehowah with leaven or honey.

You may present them to Yehowah as a gift of first fruits; but they shall not go up on the altar for an odour of rest.

And you shall season every gift of your grain-offering with salt; and you shall not let the salt of the covenant of your God be missing from your grain-offering; with all your gifts you shall offer salt.

And when you present a grain-offering of first fruits to Yehowah, you shall present for the grain-offering of your first fruits some corn in the ear, parched by fire, crushed corn of fresh ears.

And you shall put oil upon it, and lay frankincense upon it; it is a grain-offering.

And the priest shall burn as a token of it some of the crushed corn and oil, with all the frankincense, as a fire-offering to Yehowah.
