Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said,

Command the sons of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land which will fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan in its full extent),
3
your southern boundary shall be from the desert of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea on the east;
4
and your border shall run southwards to the Ascent of Akrabbim, and continue to Zin, and shall extend southwards to Kadesh-barnea; and it shall go on to Hazaraddar, and continue to Azmon;
5
and the border shall run from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and shall extend to the sea.

And for the western border you shall have the Great Sea and its coast; this shall be your western border.
7
And this shall be your northern border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out for yourselves a line to Mount Hor;
8
from Mount Hor you shall mark it out to the Pass of Hamath; and the border shall extend to Zedad;
9
and the border shall go on to Ziphron, and shall extend to Hazar-enan; this shall be your northern border.
10
And you shall mark out your eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham;
11
and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, east of Am; and the border shall go down and reach to the shoulder of the Sea of Kinnereth on the east;
12
and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and shall extend to the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its borders all round.
13
So Moses commanded the sons of Israel, and said, This is the land which you shall divide by lot for an inheritance, which Yehowah commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe;
14
for the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their fathers' houses, and the tribe of the sons of the Gadites by their fathers' houses, have received their inheritance, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received theirs also;
15
the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance across the Jordan near Jericho on the east, towards the sunrise.

Then Yehowah spoke to Moses, and said,

These are the names of the men who shall divide the land for you for an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.
18
And you shall take one prince from each tribe, to divide the land for an inheritance.
19
And these are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
20
and from the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud;
21
from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Kislon;
22
and from the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli;
23
from the sons of Joseph, from the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod;
24
and from the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
25
and from the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnakh;
26
and from the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan;
27
and from the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;
28
and from the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

These are the men whom Yehowah commanded to divide the inheritance for the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan.
