1
In that day there shall be a spring opened to the house of David and to those dwelling in Jerusalem for sin and for impurity.
2
And it shall be in that day, says Jehovah of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall not be remembered any more; and also I will cause the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness to pass out of the land.
3
And it shall be, when a man shall yet prophesy, that his father and his mother who begot him shall say to him, Thou shalt not live, for thou speakest falsity in the name of Jehovah; and his father and his mother who begot him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.
4
And it shall be in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every man of his vision, when he has prophesied; and they shall not be clothed with a mantle of hair in order to deceive.
5
But he shall say, I am not a prophet. I am a man who tills the ground, for man sold me from my youth.
6
And one shall say to him, What are these wounds in thy hands? And he shall say, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my love.
7
Stir up, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Mighty Man who is My Fellow, says Jehovah of Armies. Smite the Shepherd, and the flock shall be scattered; and I will return My hand upon the little ones.
8
And it shall be, that in all the land, says Jehovah, two parts in it shall be cut off and expire, but the third shall remain in it.
9
And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as the silver is refined, and will test them as the gold is tested; he shall call on My name, and I will answer him; I will say, This is My people; and he shall say, Jehovah is my God.
